The
Seven,
a prophetic novel by Michael H Brown
A coming sign? Events by a sinister personage? Disaster? In his first work of
fiction, Brown pens the driving, suspenseful, and deeply spiritual story of
a mysterious government property that harbors secrets relevant not only to a
young cop who tries to investigate strange goings-on, but also to an equally
mysterious and incredibly powerful old priest who joins forces with him to solve
the mystery -- and try to prevent an end-times-like disaster!

TIME TO DISCERN: WILL GULF DISASTER TURN INTO EVENT RELATED TO TIMES THAT ARE PROPHETIC?

Do we really understand what oil is? Do we know beyond question how it was created and for what geophysical role?
Here is an interesting perspective:
"I was chatting with a priest friend of mine about all the 'happenings' in
the world these days, and all the headlines about the oil spill in the
gulf," writes Patrician Gridley. "He said something that struck me. In
reference to the oil gushing up into the sea, he simply stated, 'the earth
is bleeding.' What a powerful picture that paints....
"I remember what [Venezuelan mystic] Maria Esperanza said about the earth
being 'out of balance'. I can't help but think that the oil, which has been
there for tens of thousands of years, acted as a cushion of sorts for the
earth's inner layers. Removing the cushion, like removing a spinal disc, may
very well have resulted in the earth's shelves being left rock on rock, with
little or no cushion in spots. Perhaps this is one reason for all the
earthquakes of late. Perhaps the earth is, indeed, out of balance because of
our unquenchable desire for all of her resources. Something to think about,
anyway."
We don't know about causing quakes, but it is ironic that some aerial photographs of the oil slick show it as reddish. Indeed, as Newsweek notes (with its secular sneer): "Now blogs on the Christian fringe are abuzz with possibility that the oil spill is the realization of Revelation 8:8–11. 'The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain, burning with fire, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea became blood, a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed … A third of the waters became wormwood, and many died from the water, because it was made bitter.' According to Revelation, in other words, something terrible happens to the world’s water, a punishment to those of insufficient faith. The foul water, according to the New Oxford Annotated Bible, mirrors one of the plagues God called upon Egypt on behalf of his people Israel. Though maybe it’s Revelation 16:3: 'The second angel poured his bowl into the sea, and it became like the blood of a corpse, and every living thing in the sea died.' Some interpreters are very sure: The oil spill matches biblical prophecy and is another predictor of the end. One commenter at Godlike Productions argues that the redness of the oil seen in pictures can be interpreted as blood. 'The water is tinted red from the oil … it actually looks like blood.'"
We also have been reminded of these quotes from Scripture: "The earth will be completely laid waste and completely despoiled, for the LORD has spoken this word" (Isaiah 24:3) and "I resemble a pelican of the wilderness; I have become like an owl of the waste places" (Psalms 102:6).
"And the nations were enraged, and Your wrath came, and the time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to reward Your bond-servants the prophets and the saints and those who fear Your name, the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth," adds Revelation 11:18 (right before the passage on Mary fighting the dragon).
It is when the seventh angel sounds and we are made to wonder if the spill is part of those quickening events -- the storms, the quakes -- around us (almost assuredly, it is). Hopefully, it will soon stop, but one can let the imagination roam to wondering if we really know how vast oil deposits are and what would happen if we unleashed one that was larger than a huge body of water and could not be halted. One technician, amazed at the power of the oil gushing from its depths, called it, ironically, "one hell of a well."

Too,
we have been intrigued
by the formations in the gusher, some of which are strikingly like
supernatural
visages, which we are not embarrassed to
explore. In the fire when the rig exploded were what seemed like two
silhouettes, and there is also what seems like the profile of a larger one in a
recent shot at the seafloor during fitting of the "cap" [left].
Volcanoes. Oil. The economy.
Oh, Newsweek; let's get back to angels. We have that "addendum" to the 1990 Prophecy, delivered in 2004, which, speaking of chastisement, and man threatening nature, said, "The angels have their instruction from east to west, and now a timetable has been set in motion. When the huge light is seen, I will act in a way I have not acted before."
