From the mail:
I was reading the article posted on your website about the collapse of the roof of San Giuseppe Dei Falegnami. I decided to to do some deeper research into the historic church dedicated to St. Joseph the Carpenter. I learned that it was a titular Church and that Pope Benedict XVI appointed Francesco Coccopalmerio as cardinal-deacon over the Church.
This is where it gets interesting. Who is Francesco Cardinal Coccopalmerio?
“On 15 February 2007, he was given the personal title of archbishop and appointed president of the Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts.[2] Since 2008, at the direction of Pope Benedict,[3] one of his principal responsibilities has been the revision to procedures for handling clergy sex abuse and the applicable punishments. In 2014, he explained: “We want to make this delicate material more accessible, more understandable and easier for bishops to apply.” At issue is “Book VI: Sanctions in the Church”.[4]”
He also seems to have been a major influence in the writing of Amoris Laetitia, particularly regarding the key issues of divorced Catholics in irregular relationships and the reception of communion and many of the issues regarding homosexuals in the Church, and has held many other key position in the Curia.
I have included a couple of links for your consideration. Certainly interesting that the Church assigned to him, one dedicated to St. Joseph the CARPENTER, had its centuries old roof collapse as the Church is having its Day of Reckoning regarding clergy sexual abuse.
Things that give you Holy moments of hmmmm…..
Respectfully in Christ,
