There is understandably much interest in and speculation on the sign that will appear on Apparition Hill. The visionaries can of course say nothing in detail of this. However, it has some significance perhaps for the immediate future of Medjugorje that both Vicka and Marija have indicated that the sign will occur at a time when interest and belief in the possible authenticity of Medjugorje has greatly waned. Marija Pavlovic has said to Father Lube Kurtosis, OFM, who was appointed to work as an assistant pastor in Medjugorje for some years following the death of Fr. Slavko, “The sign on the Apparition Hill will appear when even the most convinced believers doubt in the authenticity of the messages.”
