How things have changed! I'm speaking here of visions to do with the Blessed Mother and also, occasionally, allegedly, Jesus.
When I first began writing Catholic books in 1990, apparitions were the rage. First and foremost, of course, was Medjugorje.
Millions flocking there (and even more today).
But there were so many others—alleged others—that it literally went beyond reckoning.
In the U.S. alone were hundreds who publicly claimed apparitions, visions, or locutions from the Holy Mother.
And phenomena?
Interesting photos?
(Here's one recently):
On the world scene were people and sites such as Father Stefano Gobbi, Vassula Ryden, Garabandal, Nancy Fowler, and Christina Gallagher, to name just a few. I had trouble keeping track of all the supernatural claims even in a single state like Ohio or California.
And they were hardly alone!
No state was without. Perhaps you have heard me say that I met five alleged seers in a single church appearance one night when I was speaking in Denver (in 1992). You'll see a stunning prophecy that turned out to be true about Russia.
Now?
Hardly a thing.
What's going on now? Anything? Who is currently claiming private revelations? What happened?
