Prophecy: The Winds Of Autumn, 2022

There's much occurring out there, more by the month, and so it's time once more to take the "pulse." Maybe a prophetic "thermometer" is the better metaphor.
Thank God, few hurricanes so far this year -- although there is a major one now taking aim at Florida, floods across Europe, a mega-monsoon in Pakistan-India, an intense typhoon in Japan (sixteen inches in an hour), blazing heat in California, a storm of the decade in Alaska, a hurricane that did take out Puerto Rico's power grid, and -- more than anything -- massive "quakes" across the cultural spectrum. Putin threatening with nuclear weapons again: Is it a bluff this time also -- or not this time, with battlefield losses threatening his very leadership?
While we all feel dulled (from the waning pandemic, from Ukraine, from constant Church troubles), it seems like only a matter of time before we see the current time as a calm before the storm.
I think of our son, who recently told us friends and coworkers (in Manhattan) sense an ominous strangeness out there, a sense that something "big" is going to or even about to occur. He said many felt as if time itself has sped up -- young or old, that hours, days, and weeks are whipping by as never. Friday seems like the day after Monday.
Is this also a "sign"? Might it be what so
many have called a "quickening"?
No matter what, we have His protection. Remember these key words: In Him is all protection!
But much -- very much -- is in the wind, even if we're a bit dulled to it.
"I won't know how accurately I interpret [events I saw], until they come to pass," says one person who alleges especially stark visions. "I will warn you now that none of these are good, and I do not know if any of them can be changed."
Let me assure you they can, by fasting and prayer. We know this.
But warnings continue to arrive. And so it's time to go "around the prophetic horn." This time I'll be looking not only at Catholic seers but prophecies from various sources, including some that are strange.
Oh, the crisp air of fall!
